English 3, Post 8 (FINAL), "Tell us about a subject you enjoy studying"
Word Count: 170 words
A subject I enjoyed studying in high school was "biology", one of the fundamental and basic sciences with a focus on the study of life and living beings, from microorganisms to macroorganisms, and everything that is related to vital processes and structure in these. The truth is that I enjoyed studying most of the topics that it includes, some of these that I learned about are, for example, genetics such as DNA and RNA sequences and their expression in the organism, the genetic code, and with this, the protein synthesis and the different types of inheritance including Mendel's laws; ecology that includes the biodiversity, energy flow, ecosystems, populations, and communities and how these interact with each other; vital systems such as endocrine system, nervous system, and others; the cell and its cycle, where mitosis and meiosis are, their structures and functioning, the mutations and biomolecules that are part of these cells.
I enjoyed this subject because this science helps us to better understand how we are composed, what processes happen in our organism for we continue living, everything that allows us to continue existing, from the smallest to form a cell, organs, systems, and an entire organism, and not only that, other species and organisms that around us too. Then biology gives us answers to the questions that may arise how we are alive, and make us surprise and appreciate the things that we can see common and simple, for example, breathing. In this way, with biology, we study and understand everything that happens inside us so that we can do such an action that seems as normal as breathing, but that keeps us alive, this seems fascinating to me about the biology.
Before I studied biology I didn't know what it was about, because I started having biology in seventh grade and I had never been very interested in science before, and the first time that I had biology I didn't like it because the teacher taught the subject very quickly and I didn't understand it very well. But the following year, another teacher arrived, and she managed to transmit her passion for biology to me and that made me wake up an interest in this subject. So I began to appreciate how amazing biology is and I was very impressed by the first topic that I liked about it, which was the cell.
That was all! Thank you very much for reading my blogs! Bye bye!
Checked. Very nice entry!
